The bbodance Scholars Scheme for Jazz consists of monthly classes taught by excellent faculty that expose students to diverse techniques and styles. Classes include repertoire from current West End shows, such as Musical Theatre.
Unlike the bbodance Ballet Scheme, which is divided into age groups, there is only one bbodance Jazz Scholars Scheme. The Scheme is suitable for students who are at least 13 years old and have achieved a Distinction in Grade 4 Jazz or an equivalent genre — for example, Modern.
bbodance Scholars classes are held in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh.
The bbodance Scholars Scheme is available for all students under the age of 18 who have auditioned successfully. Students graduate from the Scheme at the end of the academic year that they turn 18.
The bbodance Scholars Scheme for Ballet consists of monthly classes taught by excellent faculty that are designed to refine students' skills. Classes include repertoire and are accompanied by a pianist.
The bbodance Ballet Scheme is available for the following categories:
The Junior Ballet Scheme is the introduction to bbodance Scholars. It's suitable for students who have achieved a Distinction in Grade 2 Ballet.
The Mid Ballet Scheme is a stepping stone between the Junior and Senior Schemes. It's suitable for students who have achieved a Distinction in Grade 4 Ballet. This Scheme was introduced in 2012.
The Senior Scheme is the final step of the Scholars programme. It's designed to challenge students and support their vocational training. This Scheme is suitable for students who have achieved a Distinction in Intermediate Foundation Ballet.

The bbodance Scholars Scheme is open to the most talented students of bbodance Registered Teachers and Associate Members. In order to join the Scheme, students need to be recommended by their teachers and audition successfully.
Once admitted, students do not need to audition again in order to pass to the next academic year; the only instance when an audition may be needed is if students want to change Schemes (from Ballet to Jazz, or vice-versa).
Criteria
In order to audition for the bbodance Scholars Scheme, students are expected to have passed with Distinction the following grades:
We encourage all students who feel that they are able and would like to take part in an audition to apply. Successful candidates love dance and demonstrate good performance, artistry, and technique; some of them have already achieved high marks in their bbodance Examinations.
All students will know the result of the audition within four weeks of the audition date.
