CPD @ Scholars Weekend '19 — Course E: When is it safe to go on pointe?

When is it safe to go on pointe? A practical exploration of how and when to introduce pointe work to your students.

 

This workshop will offer practical guidance and advice as to the right time to introduce pointe work into your students’ technique practice.

You will learn about the history of pointe work, how to choose and prepare shoes along with various ideas, suggestions and appropriate exercises for teaching pointe work to beginners.

You will be encouraged to engage in open discussions, as well as sharing of ideas and experiences.

This is an excellent workshop for anyone teaching or considering teaching Classical Ballet at vocational level. Pointe Work is introduced in the bbodance Classical Ballet syllabi at Intermediate Foundation.
