Two-part CPD Webinar — Motivating Students

Registration is closed for this event

Taught by Katy Chambers.

Delivered in two parts, this webinar will offer teachers the opportunity to explore dancers’ wellbeing from a psychological perspective and analyse the motivational climate created in the dance studio. Content will include an introduction to mental skills training and consideration of motivation, passion and perfectionism in dancers. Teachers will be equipped with practical tools and approaches to apply in the studio to support students’ psychosocial needs alongside their physical dance training.

The webinar will take place on:

  • 9 November — 6.30-8.30pm
  • 11 November — 6.30-8.30pm

In addition, faculty will assign supportive tasks to help you embed the principles discussed into your own practice.

This CPD Webinar is a live-streamed version of the CPD Course I originally scheduled to take place at Dance Days 2020. If you registered for Course I, our team will be in touch soon to transfer your registration.

For safety reasons, this session is live-stream only; the only onsite staff will be the course tutor and her support staff. If you are unable to attend the webinars live, we will send you a link to the recordings.

The webinar is open to all dance teachers, not just bbodance members.

Enjoy the webinar!
