For over 50 years, the bbodance Scholars Scheme has been offering talented students the opportunity to receive additional training with some of the most respected teachers in the UK.

The Scheme currently offers specialised training in Classical Ballet and Jazz. It consists of monthly classes held in Edinburgh, London, and Manchester, and an intensive weekend during autumn half-term that allows students to explore Musical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Commercial, and other genres. Scholars classes help students develop artistry, technique, musicality, and performance skills.

The bbodance Scholars Scheme is open to the most talented students of bbodance Registered Teachers and Associate Members. In order to join the Scheme, students need to be recommended by their teachers and audition successfully.

Some of our former Scholars have been accepted into the UK’s finest vocational dance schools and gone on to perform professionally. Recently, our former Scholar and Birmingham Royal Ballet First Soloist, Brandon Lawrence, has become our youngest Patron.
