About the event

Ready to refresh your perspective and reignite your passion for teaching dance?

bbodance are offering one-day Structured Observation CPD events at Dance Days, designed for experienced educators. This unique set up allows you to observe exceptional dance classes firsthand and gain valuable insights to enhance your own delivery – and most importantly, making Dance Days a Teacher networking event!

Deepen Your Observation Skills:

The day will start with with a session led by our Head of Teaching Qualifications and/or Teacher Training faculty. We'll explore the art of constructive observation, focusing on effectively analysing teaching methods, student engagement, and classroom dynamics. This interactive session equips you with tools to identify the key elements of an engaging and effective dance class.

Witnessing Excellence in Action:

The core of the day is observing multiple dance classes across different age groups and styles. You'll witness firsthand how genre specialist teachers create engaging environments, foster a love for dance, and guide students' technical and artistic development. Observing various approaches allows you to identify best practices and teaching philosophies that resonate with you.

Transforming Observations into Impact:

After observing the classes, we'll come together for a focused discussion. This collaborative session provides a platform to analyse your observations and translate them into practical improvements for your own teaching.

We'll explore how to:

  • Integrate fresh teaching strategies: discover new ways to engage students, enhance technical development and nurture artistic expression.
  • Revamp your curriculum: identify innovative ways to revitalise your lesson plans and infuse them with fresh inspiration.
  • Refine classroom management techniques: learn effective strategies to create a supportive and positive learning environment that empowers students.
