The bbodance Level 4-6 Graduate Pathway
is primarily aimed at experienced dance teachers and professional dancers who have achieved a Level 5 qualification or above in Dance (e.g., a Level 6 BA Hons Degree in Dance)

During the application process, candidates are required to complete a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) form. When completing the form, we suggest that you request an exemption from the modules listed below, as they would usually have been covered during a dance degree or equivalent:

4.3 Safe Dance Practice
4.4 Applying Teaching and Learning Strategies; Micro-Teach
5.3 Dance History
5.4 Developing Choreographic Practice

The Level 4-6 Graduate Pathway will usually consist of 10 modules from the bbodance courses from Level 4 to Level 6. The Pathway will also require students to independently plan and deliver 100 hours of dance.

Depending on your preference, the course can take either one or two academic years to complete.

The course dates are listed on the pages of the courses from Level 4 to Level 6, and will depend on your allocated modules.

The course will usually cost £4,688 for 10 modules. Applicants who have had a career as professional performing dancers may be eligible to apply for a Retraining Grant from Dancers’ Career Development.

The sum is payable by instalments and includes Associate Membership with bbodance for the entire duration, free access to online syllabus resources, as well as a 90% discount on all Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses we offer. Students are also eligible to apply for Registered Teacher Membership, our highest membership category.

Read more about bbodance Associate and Registered Teacher Memberships, and see a list of current CPD courses.
