We're thrilled to announce that Strictly Come Dancing Judge and recent bbodance Patron, Craig Revel Horwood will attend the Performance and Awards Ceremony at this year's Dance Days. He will be joined by the Birmingham Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Shafique Shah, Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal, Samara Downs, and our Executive Chairman, London Studio Centre Director and CEO Nic Espinosa.

As you all know, the Performance and Awards Ceremony is the culmination of three days of intensive masterclasses in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, and Creative Dance, and recognises the students who have demonstrated the highest level of technique and artistry. This year’s event will also offer a special award courtesy of bbodance’s latest Patron, former Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal and Artistic Director of Elmhurst Ballet School, Robert Parker, who in previous years has often introduced the ceremony himself.

This year’s Dance Days also marks the launch of a brand-new Contemporary Dance Syllabus, an extension to the Musical Theatre Syllabus, and the release of the revitalised Grade 6 Classical Ballet Syllabus. These syllabi come as part of our sustained journey to achieve excellence in multi-genre dance teaching. All three will be available to download for free for bbodance Teaching Members.

“Ever since its launch at Dance Days two years ago, our Musical Theatre Syllabus has proven extremely popular with existing members and has consistently attracted new ones. Due to our long-term association with Elmhurst Ballet School and our latest Patron Robert Parker – who, like us, is extremely committed to promoting dance education in the Midlands and throughout the UK – there could have been no better time and place to launch our latest syllabus grades than our flagship event, Dance Days. We think of Birmingham as our second home,” stated bbodance CEO, Robin Bloor.

During the ceremony, students will perform pieces they created at Dance Days alongside special guests from Northern Ballet School. In the audience will be parents as well as a large number of bbodance Registered Teachers who attended intensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses at the event. This year has seen the highest number of CPD courses we've ever had at Dance Days, held at both Elmhurst Ballet School and Birmingham Royal Ballet.

We hope everyone has a great time!
