On Friday 13 July, bbodance was delighted to award well-deserved diplomas to its latest class of graduating teaching students.
This year's students graduated from Levels 4, 5, 6, and 6 Extended of bbodance's Teaching Qualifications (TQ) programme. The intensive part-time courses are designed to equip our graduates with the latest knowledge about dance technique and pedagogy. They provide comprehensive tuition applicable to most dance genres; they also allow students to focus on their preferred genre and, even, the age group or level they intend to teach in the future.
The afternoon began with a brief tea & coffee at our state-of-the-art riverside headquarters in Battersea Reach, where, surrounded by friends and family, students took turns for their graduation photos. Students were also joined by our latest Patron, Mark Baldwin OBE, who is the former Artistic Director of the UK's leading Contemporary Dance company, Rambert. Also in attendance was bbodance Executive Chairman and Director of London Studio Centre, Nic Espinosa.
Following this, the graduation party walked to the nearby Crowne Plaza® Hotel for the Awards Ceremony and celebratory lunch. bbodance Head of Teaching Qualifications, Sam LeBihan introduced the ceremony and Patron Mark Baldwin OBE handed students their diplomas.
