At the beginning of April, bbodance hosted a four day event of Student Masterclasses and Continuing Professional Development activities for members from Junior Students through to Senior Examiners.

Dance Days 2016 saw record breaking numbers for our CPD sessions, giving our teachers the opportunity to take part in Pilates classes, observe a BalletBoyz workshop and review the bbodance Ballet Syllabus from the NEW Introduction to Ballet to Grade 8. The new Musical Theatre was also launched with an introduction talk from Tom Linecar-Boulton. If you missed this session, you can find out more here.

At Senior Dance Days this year we were excited to introduce Contemporary sessions to our programme for the first time. Our fantastic faculty gave the students a taster of the technique, performance quality and enjoyment needed to succeed in the dance industry.

At the end of the three days the student presented a fantastic selection of routines, ranging across all genres. Students, Teachers and audience members were treated to a beautiful performance of the White Swan Pas de Deux from Swan Lake, danced by Delia Matthews and Brandon Lawrence from Birmingham Royal Ballet.
