During the past few months, dance teachers have had to shift their practice from studio to online classes. Many say they will continue delivering online classes even after lockdown is over, as this has made their practice more accessible to students.

To ensure that our aspiring dance teachers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach dance wherever they choose, starting this September, our Dance Teaching Qualifications programme will be entirely online:

  • Our courses will be delivered exclusively online between September and December 2020 (onsite delivery may resume in 2021). The system has been trialled since the start of lockdown and has resulted in a 100% success rate for this year's graduating students;
  • Students will be able to fulfil all course requirements online or onsite. For example, the hours of dance they are required to plan and deliver may be fulfiled by online classes;
  • Our course modules have been updated with resources for online teaching and developing an online practice;
  • The range of course materials, resources, and available support from the course and faculty team has been increased to meet the demands of complete online study during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We hope these changes will help you become versatile, adaptable teachers, regardless of the environment that is available to you or that you choose.
