Becoming a dance teacher is an important decision. If you're considering it, it might be helpful to find out what our students think. Could one of our Teaching Qualifications help you reach your goals?

Here's a brief Q&A with 2018 alumnus  Brenden Bratulic.

How long have you been associated with us?

I started the Level 6 Extended Diploma in Dance Teaching in September 2017.

Why did you choose our Teaching Qualifications programme?

To put it simply, I had heard great things about both the course and the qualification it leads to. I was keen to get a diploma that is recognised by the Government and it’s a huge bonus that bbodance Teaching Qualifications are also on the European Qualifications Framework. The Diploma is gained through part-time study, which fit in really well with my job and other commitments. It seemed like a very good option to help improve and expand my teaching ability.

Has the TQ programme helped you develop your teaching practice? If so, how?

The training has definitely improved my teaching — I'm more aware of structure and continuity in my classes and I feel more confident in my abilities as a teacher. It also opened up different teaching and learning methods, including a more creative approach!

Would you recommend the Level 6 Extended course to others?

Definitely – it’s a great learning curve that really pushes you to explore further with your teaching. It really helps you overcome self-imposed limits!

What did you enjoy the most during the course?

The feeling of achievement whenever I received results for various assignments; meeting and forming bonds with others students was a great experience too.

We hope this brief interview helps you on your dance journey!
