bbodance is dedicated to the development and education of dance teaching professionals by building a supportive and creative learning environment.

Our dance teacher training programme offers Level 4 to Level 6 Diplomas in Dance Teaching delivered on-site at our London headquarters and online; they include a combination of contact training and well-supported distance learning to allow for busy professional commitments. The courses are part-time and payment plans are available.

Each course module is delivered by an experienced industry professional and designed to equip aspiring teachers with relevant academic knowledge and practical skills in pedagogy, dance science, safeguarding, business development, creative teaching techniques, and other key areas. All modules are designed to enable the development of the students’ personal teaching portfolios. Throughout the course, students are supported via personal tutors and by the Head of Teaching Qualifications, Sam Le Bihan, in order to reach their full potential.

All students receive free Associate Membership with bbodance, which provides free access to all our syllabi, in written and video form; students also receive a 90% discount on CPD courses and may attend exclusive member events.

Upon completion, Level 5 graduates are additionally awarded Registered Teacher Status (RTS) and Level 6 graduates gain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status. After graduation, bbodance supports its qualified teachers with a diverse range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.
